    Field Trips

    Young Child Academy Policy
    June 1, 2001

Every child must have on file a blanket permission slip allowing Young Child Academy students to leave the premises for supervised walks. When a more specific field trip is scheduled, a separate signed permission slip will be required. Those permission slips will be provided when an event is arranged and scheduled.

Transportation to field trips will be provided by Young child Academy staff as well as parent volunteers. Every person volunteering to drive must have a valid Washington driver's license and carry liability and medical insurance.

Vehicles must have enough working seat belts for every individual riding in the car. Those children requiring car seats must leave their seats at Young Child Academy when they are brought to school on the morning of the field trip. No child requiring a car seat or like restraint system may travel to the field trip without such a devise.

No child shall ever be left unattended in a vehicle.

Parents volunteering to assist on our excursions can only supervise their own child unless in the presence of a Young Child Academy staff person.
